How does it work
Start: Emportant is complete HR and Payroll software hosted on the Internet. You do not need to purchase the license or buy the servers to use it. You do not even need to download anything or install any additional software on your PC. All you need is a web browser. All the users of your HR department, your payroll and in-fact your entire staff could be using it. You can signup in 3 easy steps.
Super fast Implementation: Emportant comes with pre-defined implementation templates. As soon as your account is created, you are ready to login on the same day ! The pre-built templates and sample data enables you to start using the system immediately without going in for an elaborate training or system configuration. You can change the default setup configurations as per your requirements.
Training: We have made it really simple to get up and running with Emportant - HR Software on-demand.
You don't need any special training to get up and running. In case you do need our help - we are just a click away.
For paid editions, we provide free training and setup assistance.
Support: Starter / Advance / Enterprise edition customers get and premium phone and email support. Freedom edition users can take advantage of Freedom support forum - managed by our helpdesk team members. Freedom edition users can also avail Setup assistance or premium support as an add-on option. You do not require any internal IT support to manage your server hardware, technology or updates. In addition, application level support is available to you directly from the experts !
Sign-in & Setup
Once you have confirmed your registration, you'd receive an email from us informing you that your account is ready to use. Sign-in with the user-id and password - you'd login as sysadmin and would be presented with options to change the default system settings if required. Since your on-demand application is pre-configured, you could start using it right away.
We also provide you the ready-to-use system with some dummy data to help you learn the system. You could remove the dummy data once you are ready to enter your data.
Enter employee data and start using
Once your account is created, you can create employee data immediately. Your existing HR / Payroll / Finance team can be assigned their individual access roles once their employee data is created. At any time you can erase the sample data provided by us at the time of startup. We ensure your company data is online effortlessly - you can even upload your existing data from spreadsheets instead of entering it all by hand.
As employees are being created - they'd automatically become users of Emportant with access to their personal details. You can choose when to send login details invitation email to all the employees. You could choose to do this after completing the system setup or even after doing a parallel run for a month. You could also send login credentials on a selective basis - in case you want to publish this in a smaller group to start with.

- Freedom - this is best if you have 50 or less people. This would help you manage employe records, automate payroll and leave administration. This also helps you get a nice little portal up and running quickly for your team to collaborate on HR processes.
- Starter - this is best if you have 300 or less people. Helps you focus on your business while your organisation is growing rapidly. Besides offering everything that freedom edition offers, it also helps you with statutory compliance.
- Advanced - this is best suited for organisations with 600 or less employees. Your business is growing rapidly and now you require a solution which not only helps manage people but also helps you with people developmen. Besides offering everything that the Starter edition offers, the Advanced edition adds Time & Attendance managment and advanced HRMS functionalities.
- Enterprise - this is a must for medium sized organisations with 500-5000 people. Offers you everything that you could think up of from a enterprise HRMS with a scaleable solution.
Step 2 - Signup
- Fill-up a simple service registration form. You only need to provide your company name and contact details. Read and accept the terms & conditions of the service and submit your registration details.
Step 3 - Confirm registration
- You'd receive an confirmation email - follow the instructions provided and you are ready to go! You might receive a call from us on your mobile and/or land phone to help you with the setup. We would also email you the user documentation and product manuals. For paid accounts - you'd also be entitled for 3 sessions of instructor led web training for your key users.
